Who doesn’t love chips?! I cannot hear anyone say no to chips. I am such a huge huge fan of chips that it’s like a treat if someone gives me a bag of one. I know, I know they’re unhealthy and full of oil but hey, they are still my favorite. That’s why I decided to make my own chips. I want them to be healthy and using less oil. So I turned towards my oven to make myself a yummy stock of chips.
These are so crunchy and yummy that you too, like me, will forget the store bought ones. This recipe shows a simple one with salt and pepper. You can try a whole lot of variations with other spices and herbs.
Place them in a bowl of cold water for 2 mins.
Now wipe them dry with a kitchen towel or a paper towel.
Sprinkle salt and pepper and mix well. You can add chili powder as well for spicy chips.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the potato slices on it. Bake for 10 – 20 minutes. Watch out for the change in color. We do not want our chips to be burnt. Flip and cook the other side.
Season with a bit of salt.
