DIY Chocolate Cake

The ideal way to impress a chocolate lover is by gifting them lots of chocolates. What if you dress it up as a cake. Looks stunning and mouth watering as well, what with all the chocolates waiting to be eaten. 😉 I made this for my nephew who is a big fan of chocolates. I used a box of butter cookies as a first layer. And for the second layer, I used a round bottle of jellies ( I forgot to take the pic, silly me). I used a variety of chocolates – Ferraro Rocher, Rafaello, kinder, Twix, break and galaxy minis. I topped it with a Kinder Joy Egg. Well, my nephew loves Kinder Joy for the little toy inside it.

For the base I measured the size of the box of butter cookies and cut out a round cardboard accordingly.

After sticking the box with tape on the base, I started with each of the chocolates, sticking each one on the outer side. I used a double sided tape for this purpose. These are easy to use and make the process of attaching those chocolates a whole lot easier.

After the first layer I moved on to the second, placing the bottle of jellies in the center of the first layer. Continue using the tape to stick the chocolates.

Top it with kinder joy and more chocolates to cover the sides.

My little nephew loved the arrangement. He was in a dilemma – to eat it or let it sit in this lovely arrangement! 😉
